VII International Festival of Naive Art "New Day"

A celebration of creativity and kindness!
Great news for all fans of art and cultural leisure! With the support of the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives from November 8 to 19 in the hospitable exhibition space of the Creative Union of Artists in the heart of St. Petersburg on Nevsky, 60 will be held VII International Festival of naive art "New Day", which embodies a celebration of creativity and kindness.
Naive art is known for its simplicity, directness and purity of expression. For 7 years, the festival has been giving non-professional authors over 30 years old the opportunity to present their unique creative vision to the public. Guests will be able to enjoy a variety of styles and themes reflected on canvases and in art objects created with love and passion.
This year there will be presented creative works of the festival participants from 20 regions of Russia and Belarus, authors of Balashikha Picture Gallery, works from the collection of Ostroumova S.S., thematic exhibitions of the Public Organization "Pokrovskaya Community" and a personal exhibition of the festival participant Elza Nefyodova (Komi Republic, Ukhta).
On the program:
"People's vote" - traditionally visitors to the final exhibition will be able to mark the works that most impress them.
St. Petersburg artists Anna Sno, Yulia Pinezhaninova, Stanislava Malakhovskaya and Olga Konysheva will share their secrets and creative skills at art master classes, and Svetlana Kovaleva and Boris Obyezhev will conduct a dance master class at the traditional "Evening of Poetry and Dance".
The festival also offers a rich musical and theatrical program: fiery dance rhythms of FORREST GUMP band, tender voices and melodic compositions of acoustic duet of indie-folk band Free Wind, peaceful lyrical ballads performed by Hangary - a musical duet of traditional guitar and exotic hanga, jazz improvisations by Georgiy Averyanov, performance "Along the Roads of Fairy Tales" for children and adults of the theater "Cardboard House", creative meeting with the team of BABA YAGA GAMES and blogger Ekaterina Ryazhskikh - "Russian traditional culture in new formats", concert "A song helps us to live" performed by the Russian choir of 25+ amateurs.

Admission to all exhibitions and events is free.
Exhibition opening hours: Tuesday-Sunday 15.00 - 19.00, Monday (November 13) - day off.
