In the year of the 300th anniversary of St. Petersburg on the banks of the Neva there was another unique gem of museum art - the Museum of Florentine Mosaics. The museum has existed since 2003, created by the spouses Boris and Lyudmila Oshkukov
The exposition of the museum presents mosaic panels, paintings, countertops, objects of arts and crafts - jewelry, caskets, stone balls, clocks, vases, furniture with mosaic inlays, sculpture, over six hundred works, made of different types of stone in the Florentine mosaic technique by modern masters from Russia, Ural, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Far East and Tajikistan, such as Gennady Pavlishin - People's Artist of the RSFSR, Natalia Pavlishina, Evgeny Pestov, Irek Rakhmatullin, Boris Fomin, Sergey Chulkov, Yuri Shevtsov, Boris Oshkukov, Anatoly Nigmatullin, Vladimir Karmanov, Alexander Zhuravlev, Damir Devyatov, Alexander Gorbunov, Anatoly Golobokov, Andrey Belyakov, Rakhmat Baturaliev, Nail Badretdinov, Marat Akbarov, etc. The museum collection has mosaic works by stonecutters from different regions of Russia.
