The World Illustration Awards Exhibition presents highlights from the year’s shortlist of contemporary illustration, entered by emerging and established talent from around the globe to the annual competition. The exhibition thus features a unique range of work from the UK to USA, and South Korea to France, covering a wide range of practice, including books, design and editorial, to reflect the diverse disciplines within the industry.

Project "Lieu de Vie" (living place) is a series of prints based on the material gathered by the artist in Calais in September 2015.
Books Professional Category is represented by Nina Chakrabartin's works for the book "Hello Nature". She uses line drawing to explore her love of the decorative arts, inspired by her past in Calcutta, India, where she grew up. She studied illustration at The Royal College of Art, London.
- Sam Ki, an architectural/spatial designer with his project "Yen Town - The Last Unpolluted Territory". A series of drawings capturing the tranquil atmosphere and architectural space of a fictional island where purity is defined as the currency of a future resilience city. - Tobatron is a London based illustrator best known for his humorous and ironic use of information graphics. He create a portrait of Barbara Lisicki who has spent her life campaigning for the rights of disabled people through the use of direct action. Research Professional Category Winner
Chen Winner is a graphic artist and filmmaker based in Jaffa, Israel. Project Title is 'CNN: Econundrum', a series of animated shorts dealing with ecological conundrums, this time the consequences of drinking bottled water in particular.
Bethan Woollvin graduated from the Cambridge School of Art with a First Class Degree in Illustration in 2015, and currently lives and works in Brighton as a freelance illustrator. Inspired by vintage illustration and printmaking, Bethan uses bold colours and quirky characters to tell stories with her illustrations.Little Red is a children’s picture book, adapted from the classic Little Red Riding Hood tale with her own text and illustrations.
