Prokuda Grigory Grigorievich (1857-1936), Russian and Ukrainian landscape painter. He was born in Kiev. In 1875-78 he took painting lessons at the Kiev drawing school of Nikolai Murashko. In 1880s traveled to Europe, where he worked mainly on mountain landscapes of Italy and Austria. Upon his return, he lived and worked in Kiev, where he had his own art gallery. The artist painted landscapes of Ukrainian villages in the vicinity of Kiev and mountain romantic landscapes. He took part in exhibitions of the Association of Kiev artists. He died in Kiev in 1936. Most of Grigory Prokuda's works are kept in private art collections.
