Born in 1930 in Leningrad. In 1957 he graduated from the graphic faculty of the Institute of painting, sculpture and architecture named after I. E. Repin. In 1963 Alexandrov met with the artist V. Sterligov and began to work under his leadership. Currently lives and works in St. Petersburg.

In his work, Alexandrov consistently continues the tradition of the classic St. Petersburg avant-garde. Working in a technique of painting collage, which combines oil painting and different fabric textures, the artist was able to create the bright unique style. The theme of most works of the master based on biblical stories.

Work Alexandrova is included in the collections of the State Museum of history of St. Petersburg, the Russian Museum, the Tretyakov gallery, Yaroslavl art Museum and other Russian and foreign museums and private collections.
