Honored artist of Russia, author of outstanding monumental works, the authoritative teacher, a recognized master of easel painting.
Was born in Smolensk. In 1941. family, fleeing the occupation, was in Tomsk. There the mother of the future artist worked at the evacuated military factory. In 1943. the production was returned to Zagorsk, and the family settled in this town near Moscow.
Ilya Broydo studied at Zagorsk art and craft school. In 1951 he graduated and entered MVHPU (former Khamza. Stroganovsky) on branch of monumental art.
Mentors of the artist became a whole galaxy of outstanding teachers, recognized masters: V. P. Komardenkov, N. L.Belyanin, N. X.Maksimov, S. V. Gerasimov, V. I. Kozlinski, G. I. Opryshko.
Later, since 1995, I. M. Broydo will worthily continue the work of their teachers, conducting teaching activities in MVHPU at the Department of monumental and decorative painting.
At the end of "art school" in 1958. he went to work in the Plant of monumental-decorative art, where he worked for many years, making public buildings of monumental-decorative compositions in various techniques and materials.
The artist worked a lot in the field of easel painting. He was able to work in a variety of genres.
With 1956. – a constant participant of Moscow, Republican, all-Union and foreign art exhibitions.
In 1957. Ilya Broydo appeared Mature master, and were rewarded with silver medals of all-Union competitive exhibition on the eve of the Moscow International festival of youth and students.
A member of the Union of artists of the USSR since 1963, a member of the IHF.
Repeatedly awarded diplomas MOSH and MOHP.
In 1997, Ilya M. Broydo awarded the title of Honored artist of the Russian Federation.
Easel M. I. Broydo are in museums and private collections in Russia, Austria, Bulgaria, Germany, Italy, Spain, France and the United States, and many monumental works still decorate the facades and interiors of public buildings.
