The honored worker of arts of Ukraine (since 1953). B.January 30, 1906 in the town of Kobeliaky, Poltava region. now - um. 14 Sep 1967 in Kharkiv. Graduated from Kharkiv art Institute (1926-30), where he studied with O. Khvostenko-Khvostov, M. Burachek. A member HO UAU from 1947. Respublikanskikh party and all-Union exhibitions since 1948. Solo exhibitions: Kharkiv - 1972. Worked as a painter 1 St State theater for children in Kharkov (1930-32), Kharkiv state academic Ukrainian drama theatre. T. G. Shevchenko (b 1933), his chief artist (1944-67). Laureate of the state prize of the USSR (1948).
