(the author - I. N. Oskina)

(1924, village Krivousova, Luh district, Ivanovo region.)

In 1950 he graduated from the Bashkir theatre and art school. He studied with P. M. Lebedev and A. E. tyulkina. Diploma work were the sketches of scenery to the Opera N.. Rimsky-Korsakov "The Snow Maiden" (1950). Scenographic experience was actively used by the artist, especially in the second half of the 1950s in the period of transition from the lyrical landscape sketches where easily read the influence of such classics of Russian painting, as I. Levitan, M. V. Nesterov, V. K. Byalynitsky-Birula, etc., complete and original panoramic paintings that resemble decorative cameos. In the compositions "BLUE APRIL" (1955), "BAIKAL. GREY DAY" (1959), "STATION" (1959), "BACK the BIRCH" (1960), "MORNING IN the URALS" (1962), etc. - the author takes the viewer into the festive realm of spectacles. The space resolved with the help of the traditions of theatrical-decorative art. Not just in composition, but the color system paintings Domashnikov becoming increasingly decorative conventionality, due to which many of his works are like from tapestry, carpet creations, which is completely dominated by extremely flattened image of the first plan ("MEMORY", 1973; "the WHITE SPRING", 1969; "ASPEN", 1971; "the BIRCHES", 1978-1985). Even purely custom, thematic compositions on the traditional social realism of the stories as "APRIL 22. To LENIN" (1975-1977), "MAYDAY" (1984), "VICTORY DAY" (1985), the inherent limit to the decorative image. The artist likes to write architecture - "SOFIA in WINTER", 1958; "IN RUSSIA. NOVGOROD", 1968; "PSKOV", 1972, "ROME", 1970; "CANAL IN VENICE", 1970. It is not focused solely on the usual subjects of rural life, not fetishizmom Islands of antiquity. And the old village and the city you live in his paintings of modern life ("the AWAKENING", 1982; "MARCH IN UFA", 1983). Characteristic of the art of the masters the theme of joy of life, her inexhaustible sense of beauty, and inspired enthusiasm for the expressive properties of the art materials and is distinguished by its extremely colorful still lifes ("the MAQUIS", 1967-1972; "CARNATION", 1972; "LILAC", 1968-1974), which is a feast for the eyes, soul and heart.
