Biography and information

Student of the Academy of fine arts since 1886.. 1890 he graduated from the course Sciences. Received medals: in 1890, G. - 2 silver, 1892 - 1 silver, 1893 - 2 gold for the program "Hotel for visitors to the capital." November 5, 1894 - the title of class artist of 1 degree. Was born in Kharkov. In 1886 he entered the architecture Department of the Academy of arts in St. Petersburg in 1894 he received the title of the artist 1-th degree and two years of foreign pensionerstvo. Participated in many exhibitions, including "World of art". 1909 was engaged in scenography. In 1925 he settled in Rome. Together with his wife executed the stylized cycle of paintings "Visions of Old Russia". Participated in group exhibitions in Rome, Milan, Paris, London, Amsterdam, the Hague, Munich, Budapest and new York, in a Large exhibition of Russian art in Belgrade (1930). Met with his wife to the exhibition in a Paris gallery W. Hirshman (1930) and in the Oriental Institute of the Vatican (1932). Prostactive Pope Pius XI, the collection of watercolors Brailovsky was acquired by the Vatican. In 1933 he founded the Museum of Russian religious architecture under the Congregation for the Oriental churches in the Vatican. Died in Rome.
