Was born in Omsk. Then family lives in Barnaul, in 1917-1918 visits the Studio of E. Korovay. In 1919 he moved to Omsk, where he studied in the Studio of a teacher of the Cadet corps A. N. Klementyev. Travels to Moscow and Barnaul, apparently, to the East. In 1921, together with B. Chable-Tabulations and V. Ufimtsev creates art Association "red three". Participates in exhibitions of this Association. From late 1922 to July 1923, working as an artist in the West Siberian regional Museum. In August 1923 with V. Ufimtsev went to Central Asia, then to Italy. In 1932 returned to Russia. Lives in Moscow, Pyatigorsk. From 1949 to 1964, he lives and works in Saratov. Buried there.
