In 1943 he was drafted into the Army, fought on the Eastern front in the 202nd infantry division 1011 infantry regiment. For participation in the fighting against Japan was awarded the medal "For Victory over Japan". In 1947, after demobilization returned home.
Personality Terence Ammosov – striking phenomenon in the history of fine arts of Yakutia. Equally masterfully worked in traditional openwork technique, nicorelief and bulk thread, in different forms and genres. The subjects of his works is devoted to images of the Yakut heroic epos, Northern fauna. Easy, artistic cut Ammosov miniatures of its kind and unique chess pieces, in which the characters come to life folklore. Equally distinctive in design and finish boxes. T. V. Ammosov made a significant contribution to the revival and development of traditional ornamental and subject compositions.
