Born in 1922 in Petrograd. From 1941 to 1945 he participated in the great Patriotic war. Earlier, from childhood, showed a talent and desire for painting. From 1947 to 1951 he studied at the Leningrad art College. From 1953 to 1960 – studied at Institute of painting, sculpture and architecture named after I. E. Repin. The path to art was not direct. In the Institute named after I. E. Repin studied four years at the graphic Department. He was very lucky, because I learned from talented artist, teacher, – A. Pakhomov. But the craving for art was a constant and irresistible. Therefore, the transition in the painting Department was natural. Training in the Studio of Y. M. Neprintsev, where at the same time taught and A. D. Romanychev, was a big school for the talented student. After graduating from the Institute named after I. E. Repin, along with his creative work, given the years of teaching in the school b. Stieglitz (formerly the Mukhina) in the Studios of the city. In 1964 he was a member of Union of artists of Russia. Leonid Ignatievich Veichle was able to work in different genres. But the landscape given the best years of creativity. Wide circles of spectators and admirers of the Leningrad-St. Petersburg painter L. I. Visly know, first of all, as the acknowledged master of the Landscape. The artist made many journeys to various parts of our country. This is lake Baikal, on the river Msta ("Academic dacha") in Georgia, the Crimea, Karelia, but his heart is particularly excited, the Old Ladoga. Russian North, close to him poetical. The canvas, executed in old Ladoga earth is very imaginative, expressive, delicate color, the color – highly artistic.
