Born in March 25, 1942 in the city of Kazan.

In 1967 he graduated from the Kharkov art Institute, faculty of painting, theatre workshop of Professor B. V. Kosarev.

In 1976 he graduated from the school – Studio of Moscow art Theater, the directing Department, workshop of O. N. Ephraim.

From 1976 to 1979 worked at the Comedy theatre. N. Akimova.

From 1979 to 1984 he taught at the Institute of painting, sculpture and architecture. I. E. Repin.

From 1984 to 1888 he taught at the Institute of theatre and cinema at the faculty.

Currently lives and works in St. Petersburg.
