Student of the Academy of arts from 1873 To 1877 he graduated from the course Sciences. Received a medal, and in 1880 – 2 silver; in 1883 a – 1 silver. In 1884 the title of class artist; in 1886 – the title of class artist of 3 degrees. Was for 26 years the architect of the Palace resting in the Lord Grand Duke Alexei Alexandrovich (until 1909).
