Sir Jacob Epstein (eng. Jacob Epstein, born. 10 Nov 1880, new York- mind. 19 Aug 1959, London) is an English and American sculptor and printmaker, one of the pioneers of sculpture of art Nouveau.

Jacob Epstein was born in a family of immigrants of Jewish origin from Russian Poland. After training at Church new York universal student League in 1894-1902, he continues to study art in Paris at the académie Julian and at the National school of fine arts. Since 1905, Epstein lives in the UK, and in 1910 receives British citizenship. In 1954, the sculptor, for his outstanding contribution to contemporary art, was knighted.
