In the gallery NYU ART there is a personal exhibition of Ivan Trush "Painting". Presents works from the famous series of landscapes of the Dnieper and in Egypt, moonlit nights, psychological portraits and flowers from the artist's garden. Works provided private collections in Kiev, Rivne and Lviv.
The work of Ivan Trush on the dissemination of Ukrainian art is important. He established close contact with the democratic circles of the Ukrainian intelligentsia. Together with the artist Y. Pankevich and architect V. Nagorny, 1898 Trush created the “Society for the heyday of the Russian thing”. The first professional organization of Ukrainian artists appeared in Lviv. In 1905, together with M. Hrushevsky and I. Franko, the artist founded the "Society of supporters of Ukrainian literature, science and art." With the composer S. Lyudkevich at his own expense, he began publishing the first art magazine in Galicia - “Artistic Herald”, where he published his own critical articles on Ukrainian art.
Ivan Trush - one of the Ukrainian impressionist artists, the original colorist. His work, he initiated the revival of the Galician-Ukrainian painting. Over the years of his work, Trush painted over six thousand paintings.
Works of the master are represented in collections of art museums in Kiev, Transcarpathia, the Dnieper and abroad.
