Andrei Aleksandrovich-Dochevsky. Taming the myths

The Museum of Contemporary Ukrainian Art Korsakov hosts an exhibition of the Kiev artist Andrei Aleksandrovich-Dochevsky "Taming the myths". The exhibition presents the easel works of the artist, made in different techniques and created from 1991 to 2018. This cycle treats the well-known themes of the Old Testament in a new way.

Picturesque and graphic works made in different periods of the artist's work show not only the development of stylistic dominants inherent in him, but also an attachment to themes of epic scale with literary or mythological roots.

Andrei Alexandrovich-Dochevsky was born in 1958 in Kiev. He graduated from the Kiev State Art Institute. He worked in the field of painting, graphics, set design. Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine, the National Union of Theater Workers of Ukraine and the Associations of Stage Designers of Ukraine. Honored Artist. His works are kept in Ukrainian museums of theater, music and cinema, the Kiev Museum of Lesia Ukrainka, the International Museum of Children's Theaters.
