Pavel Pepperstein's exhibition "Man as a Frame for the Landscape

The Garage Museum of Contemporary Art will host an exhibition of Russian conceptual artist, writer, musical performer and art theorist. Pavel Pepperstein "Man as a frame for the landscape".

The exposition of canvases and drawings will be displayed in a sequence of rooms, in each of which visitors can see the life and development of one of the “landscape systems” invented by the author. For the exhibition, the artist will also create about 20 new works, including graphic works, videos and installations. Will be presented and the early drawings and albums of the author.

Pavel Pepperstein graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague. Today he is one of the most active and influential conceptualist myth-makers of modern Russian art, inventing new political systems, universes, countries and states with their own languages and systems of symbols, cults and religions, attributes and detailed cartography.
