Christian Dior: The designer of dreams

Brooklyn Museum invites you to visit the exhibition "Christian Dior: Dream Designer.".

The exhibition brings to life many sources of Dior inspiration, from the splendor of flowers and other natural forms to classical and contemporary art.

The exhibition features items taken mainly from the Dior archives, as well as an extensive collection of more than two hundred couture garments, as well as photographs, archive videos, sketches, elements of vintage perfumery, accessories and works from the museum collection.

The haute couture on view embodies many of the French couturier's iconic silhouettes, including the "New Look" model that debuted in 1947. The Museum of Fine Arts' central atrium has been transformed into a magical garden and the final gallery features dresses worn by stars from Grace Kelly to Jennifer Lawrence.
