State Tretyakov Gallery presents exhibition "Tair Salakhov. To the artist's birthday".
An extended exposition of the works of Tair Salakhov (1928-2021), one of the greatest artists of the second half of the XX century - the beginning of the XXI century, revealing the originality of the author's creativity, awaits the visitors.
Artist, teacher, prominent public figure, Tair Salakhov stood at the origins "severe style." and is rightly considered one of its founders and ideologists. The author was inspired by the everyday life of his contemporaries, their problems and experiences. Plastically the artist solved his problems in a new stylistics - linear and generalized, aspiring to monumentality. The artistic philosophy closely intertwined with the centuries-old culture of the Azerbaijani and Russian peoples was evident in the diversity of the master's works.
