"Collecting Van Gogh.".
In love with the works of Vincent van Gogh (1853-1890), Helen Kreller-Muller (1869-1939) became the owner of the world's largest private collection of the artist's works. Since 1908, when Van Gogh's works were growing in popularity and value, Helen collected no fewer than 90 oil paintings and more than 180 works on paper over a period of twenty years.
A total of 72 works of art are on display in Japan: 68 works from the Kreller-Muller Museum, whose first director was Helen herself, and 4 works selected from the Van Gogh Museum.
