Soviet painter and master of applied arts, honored art worker of the Estonian SSR (1943). Member of the CPSU since 1945.

Studied in art-industrial school (Berlin-Charlottenburg, 1923-24), and then perfected in Paris (1924-27).

Effortless beauty, freedom of rhythm characterized by both marked by a sharpness of perception of the world of landscapes, still lifes and portraits of Adamson (portrait Sits barbarous, 1928, Ateneum, Helsinki; the portrait of his father, 1930-32, Hermitage, Leningrad), and for its fabrics, leather and jewelry, which are evidence of creative processing heritage of folk arts and crafts.

The paintings and art can be seen in his Museum at Luhike-jalg.

Adamson –Eric, one of the most famous Estonian artists. He studied at the Art school "Pallas" 1921-23 year, then in Charlottenburgh art-industrial school in Berlin at H. 1923-24 Bengen in Paris 1924-27 year W. Guerin, A. Lot. Until 1932, Adamson-Eric lived in Paris.

In Estonia participated at exhibitions in the second half of the 20s. Adamson-Eric is one of the most consistent conductors of aesthetic principles of the French school of painting at Estonian art.

During the war, in Yaroslavl, the Estonian Art ensembles were organized drama troupe for which Adamson-Eric did the costumes.
