Born in 1910 in Orenburg. In 1931 he graduated from the Moscow Conservatory, piano class of Professor Igumnov.
In 1932-1939 he studied at the Moscow Institute of fine arts, the academician I. E. Grabar and Professor M. A. Dobrov; in 1939-1946 years. — postgraduate courses at Moscow state art Institute by professors A. A. Sidorov and M. A. Dobrov.
