Schedule. Member of the Union of artists of the USSR. People's artist of USSR (1963), laureate of the State prize of the Lithuanian SSR, Professor.

Member of the CPSU(b) since 1949. He graduated from Kaunas hood. school (1935). In 1937-40 the teacher in school. From 1942 he served in the red army in 1943-44 he worked as an artist in Moscow. From 1945 he taught at the Vilnius art. the Institute, 1945-52 Director (rector) of this in-TA, 1960 Professor. Participant of exhibitions since 1935. Easel graphics ("In the woods", 1935; "the funeral of the victims of the war," 1943; "Atrocities of the fascist invaders", 1945-46; "I'll be the milkmaid!", 1960; "electrification", 1967), vol. ill., posters and other work.
