Illarionovich Chernyshev

A self-taught artist, he was used by the military and as a draftsman (eg. for "removal of production of the Urals fishing"). His famous drawing depicting the Orenburg group of exiles, among whom Shevchenko. There is a legend that he wrote the portrait of Pushkin during his visit to Orenburg.
