Student of the Academy of Arts from 1862 Received medals in 1867 - 2 silver; in 1868 - 2 silver; then he graduated from the course Sciences; in 1869 - 1 silver; in 1873 - too. In 1874, he was awarded the class artist of 3 degrees. (Kondakov)

In Samara he moved from Vyatka. Before that, he graduated from St. Petersburg Academy of Arts and received the title of "class artist of the 3rd degree." It Khramtsov became the first professional teacher of the future artist Golovkin. Much later, after his death, Konstantin Golovkin with artists, Sinyagina and Holavina buy from the widow of his paintings for the art Department of the Public Museum: "Amour", "father's Portrait" and "Portrait Kokorev".
