Born in the village Paniysky glass (Smolensk province). Studied in the art faculty of VGIK F. Bogorodsky, P. I. Kotov, degree work – sketches and storyboard to the script based on the novel "the Island of Baranov" I. F. Kratt (hands-l S. V. Kozlovsky). Artist "Mosfilm" since 1949 Participated in the design of the film "Zastava in the mountains" (1953), "True friends" (1954), "a history Lesson" (1957), "the Duel" (1957), "Russian souvenir" (1960). Scored the films "the taming of the shrew" (1962), "the Elusive Avengers" (1967), "the taiga landing" (1966), "Hot snow" (1972).
