In 1776 he entered the Academy of arts in 1791 – 2 silver medals; in 1794 – the title of the artist 1st degree and a sword; thereupon received a certificate and was left at the Academy. In 1795 "is defined for the execution of any works in his art" (referred to as medallist); in 1796, entered the Mint in "medal apprentice". Engraver on steel and draughtsman.
