Alexei Breus is a member of the art group "Strontium-90", 1990, uniting artists who care about the problems of Chernobyl. Born in 1959 in Kuban (Russia), graduated from the school of art (1974), Moscow state technical University. N. Bauman (1982), the press Department of the Kiev state University. Shevchenko (1990).
The artist's works are in private collections in Ukraine, Russia, USA, France, Japan, UK, Germany, Belgium. The first graphic compositions of "the Others" cycle were created several years before the Chernobyl disaster when the artist lived in Pripyat city, Chernobyl personnel. Later these works were taken out of the city, deserted after the evacuation of the population.
For participation in emergency work at the ruined nuclear unit of the Chernobyl NPP on 26 April 1986 (during the first hours after explosion of reactor) A. Breus awarded the medal "For labor valor" and a badge of distinction.
