The light of thousands of stars and galaxies painted the white walls of the houses in the endless cosmic night with bright colors. Like a small shell in the middle of space, there was an island of a dozen buildings lined up along one narrow street that led out into dark space.
The prince had heard that the city that was here numbered millions of inhabitants, but right now he could only see a few dozen faces looking at him interestedly from the open windows.
Behind him, I heard the rustle of the tires of a car slowly passing by. A bright red car pulled up alongside the Prince, and a bearded man looked out of the open door.
- "You want to get to the city? Get in, it's on my way," and pointed toward the road, which was lost somewhere in the darkness of space.
Only now did the Prince notice that the road was like an umbilical cord connecting this piece of land to a giant mirror ball. The stars were reflected in it with a subtle distortion, as if their light had been filtered through a magnifying lens. Probably inside that sphere was the space city he'd been told about.
