作品描述 «Birdie (low poly)»
BIRDIE - EAGLE - ALBATROSS ?
Pick your golf bucket.
In golf, the term birdie (birdie means "birdie") means a hole score one stroke better than par (the standard of score on a hole). The term comes from the early twentieth century American slang bird, meaning something different.
? "A memorial stone has been erected at The Atlantic City Club to commemorate the first time three players agreed to use the term "Birdie" in 1903.
?Further the theme of birds was picked up and developed, and so the Eagle (igl) appeared in the States.
An eagle is a score on a hole at 2 under par. It would be natural for American golfers to think of the eagle, which is their national symbol.
⛳What about Albatross - just as a score of three below par is rare, the albatross is a very rare bird.
The first "albatross" score reported in the press was from South Africa when E. Wooler made a hole-in-one on the par 4 18th hole at Durban Country Club in the summer of 1931. True he had to give the hole-in-one to his teammates, but if he knew he was making history, he wouldn't have minded, would he?
