Karel Liebscher (Czech. Karel Liebscher; 24 Feb 1851, Prague — April 20, 1906, Prague) — Czech painter. Brother of the painter Adolphe Libera.

He graduated from the Czech technical University, but shortly thereafter, after a nervous breakdown he abandoned the idea to do technique and have dedicated themselves to the fine arts. Majored in landscape painting, especially in the depiction of the monuments of Czech history and culture; later it was added and Mediterranean species. In 1879 he made his debut as an Illustrator. In 1883 he improved his skills at the Vienna Academy of fine arts. In 1885 took place the first major solo exhibition Libera in Prague (was represented by 128 paintings and sketches). Working with publisher Jan Otto, illustrated, in particular, the magazine Zlata Praha(Czech.)
