Studied at the Kazan art school (1895-1899) and Pedagogical courses the Academy of arts in Petrograd (until 1915). Lived in Palekh and Mstera. IN N. Novgorod since 1921.
Painter and art theorist (the book "Drawing from nature" Sumy, 1915). Worked primarily in genre and landscape. Member of the Union of artists of Russia since 1933. In art exhibitions participated since 1911. The Exhibitor of the exhibition "Art into the masses" (Moscow 1929). Solo exhibitions: g. Gorky 1936,1976. He taught at the icon-painting workshops of Palekh and Mstera (1902-1915). Then at the Kazan art school, the cadet corps in Sumy (1915), courses AHR.Novgorod (1926-1930), finished the art school (1935-1937).
