Attended classes at the Academy of fine arts from 1854 to 1859, In 1859, awarded the title of class artist; in 1863 – 2 gold medal; in 1868 – the title of academician in engraving: "Christ Carrying the cross" of the original by Sebastiano del Piombo. Was in the service in the Expedition of Storing State Papers. Practiced with great success by photogravure, and drew attention to their work abroad. Honorary free member of the Academy of arts in 1882 Engraver on copper and steel.
