Born in Palekh. Hereditary painter, son of A. M. Kurkina. In the years 1966-1971 he studied at the Palekh art school. Teacher - N.M.Zinoviev, Yu. A. Brovkin. Since 1971 worked at the Palekh art-production workshops. The theme of the work: history, literature, genre scenes. Work B. A. Kurkina are kept in museums of Russia.
