Was born in Moscow. Honored artist of the RSFSR (1983). He graduated from the Moscow higher art school. Worked in movies since 1974. Together with Nikita Mikhalkov Adabashyan wrote the script of the film "unfinished piece for mechanical piano" (1977), "Five evenings" (1979), "a Few days from the life of I. I. Oblomov" (1980). In addition, the filming of these movies he was the art Director, together with A. D. by Samulekin.
Alexander Adabashyan delivered two of the Opera "Boris Godunov" at the Mariinsky theatre and Khovanshchina at La Scala, wrote a few scripts for the French and Italians, made designer (restaurant "Oblomov"), the CHA was an exhibition of his paintings.
