Shamil Shaidullin is an outstanding artist of Russia and Tatarstan. He graduated from the Kazan Art School, the Repin Leningrad Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture, and postgraduate studies at the Russian Academy of Arts. In 1987 he was awarded the title "Honored Art Worker of the TASSR", in 1997 - "People's Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan", Laureate of the State Prize of the Republic of Tatarstan named after G. Tukai (2000), in 2013 - "Honored Artist of Russia".
In September 2021, the artist was to be awarded and the title of "People's Artist of Russia" (the collected documents were submitted for approval to the leadership of the country), but until this event, he, unfortunately, did not live. august 3, 2021 he passed away.
From 1980 until the end of his life he was a participant of All-Union, All-Russian and international exhibitions, held 11 personal large-scale exhibitions. His paintings are kept in museums of the republic, Moscow and St. Petersburg, as well as in private collections in Germany, Turkey, France and the USA.
