Savitsky, and in St. Petersburg Academy of arts (1907-15) at V. E. Savinsky. The author of the design panel for festive decoration of Petrograd (watercolor, 1918, Russian Museum, Leningrad), a portrait of V. I. Lenin (1926, the Byelorussian SSR, Minsk); wrote mainly portraits and thematic paintings ("Universitarians", 1947, "Minsk, 3 July 1944", 1946-1955 - both in the Art Museum of the Byelorussian SSR, Minsk). He taught at the Vitebsk art school (1923-29), the Belarusian theatre and art Institute (1953-64; Professor, 1957). Awarded the order "badge of Honor" and medals.
