Portraitist, landscape painter. He studied at the school since 1901 A. E, Arkhipov, K. A. Korovin, V. A. Serov. In 1911 he received the title of artist. He lived in Moscow. Participant of exhibitions since 1906. One of the organizers of the society "the Moscow salon". Member of the Association "Fire-color" (1923 — 1927). Taught in the studios of K. Yuon and I. O. Dudin (1912 — 1915), F. I. Rerberg.
