Was born in Moscow. The son of philosopher K. M. Kantor, close to the circle of A. A. Zinoviev, the grandson of the Spanish playwright. He graduated from the Moscow polygraphic Institute (1980). Actively exhibiting as an artist in Russia and Germany from 1988 To 1997, member of the Russian pavilion at the Venice Biennale.
