Painter. 1895-1898 - studied painting and sculpture at the St. Petersburg Academy of arts, visiting teacher training courses at the Academy. Since 1899 he taught drawing and art history at the Vilnius school of drawing. In 1912, after the death of the headmaster I. Trutnev some time running it. Not polychemotherapy Director powers, in the same year organized in Vilnius private art school, which operated until 1915. This school was visited by many former students of I. Rybakova from the Vilnius school of drawing. In the First world war she was evacuated to Tula.
Actively participated in public life, was one of the founders and members of the Vilnius art circle, organized in 1901. In 1908 - one of the initiators of the Vilnius art society, in fact his supervisor. Thanks to I. Rybakov Vilnius art society before the First world war every year have the spring art exhibition.
