Painter, graphic artist, member of Union of artists (1932). Studied in art Studio of Boris and Gleb (1915-21), VKHUTEMAS in Moscow (1921-23) at V. A. Favorsky and P. Ya. Pavlinov, then in the Studio of A. E. Arkhipov. Member of the Association of artists of the revolution (1929). The participant of Republican, all-Union exhibitions. The author of the paintings on military theme, beautiful stories related to the places L. N. Tolstoy at Yasnaya Polyana and A. P. Chekhov in Melikhovo. In the 1950s, visiting Borisoglebsk, created many works depicting the urban parts; gravitated to the genres of portraiture, landscape, still life. In 1982 donated to the art Museum of Voronezh and Borisoglebsk more than 100 of his works. In 2000, the name Sholokhov has Borisoglebsk art gallery. The works of Sholokhov are also stored in the State Tretyakov gallery, Yasnaya Polyana and Melikhovo Museum, museums Serpukhov, Taganrog.
