The middle son of D. Sherwood, was born in Moscow on 5 (17) may, 1867. Was an architect. He graduated from the Moscow school of painting (1895). He lived in Moscow. In his projects here in 1900 – the first half of 1910-ies were built a number of tenement houses in Milyutinskiy (1899-1900), Bread (1903), Chernihiv (1906) lanes on the Bauman street (1902-1906), Pokrovka (1909), etc.) – mostly in the spirit of modernity. As an architect of the Moscow merchant society (1903) and a member of the Commission for the reconstruction of Lower trading rows, i.e. the current area between the Gum and the Charge, made a great contribution to the renewal of the business center of the ancient capital. In several of his works (for example, complex business, now administrative government buildings on Staraya square, 1914) art Nouveau is already noticeably gives way to a more rational, as if preconstructions style – first of all, in the strict rhythm of large rectangular Windows. After the 1917 revolution and construction practice almost never worked. Died Vladimir Sherwood in Moscow on 18 June 1930.
