He worked with his teacher, an outstanding theater Director and artist Nikolai Akimov at the Leningrad Comedy theatre (now the St. Petersburg state academic theatre of Comedy named N. Akimova).
For 30 years, has partnered with film Studio "Lenfilm". Was art Director for over 25 films.
At the Bolshoi theatre was the artistic Director of the Opera "La Boheme" by Puccini. Pucinni, and the ballet "Swan lake" by P. Tchaikovsky (choreography by V. Vasiliev, 1996 ) .
Since 1959 constantly exhibits his work. Was organized nine solo exhibitions in the Anna Akhmatova Museum (St.-Petersburg, the Fountain House, 1994-99 ), in the Gallery of the Union of Artists of Russia in Moscow and the gallery of "Kubus" in Hannover, Germany (1996 ), in the Church of St. Peter in Verona, Italy, and the Catholic Academy in Freiburg, Germany (1997 ) .
