He studied at the Art school Yorkshire in Leeds, where he met and became friends with Henry Moore, and then at the Royal College of art in London (1920-1923). In 1931, she married sculptor Ben Nicholson, joined together with him to the group Abstraction – creation.

B. Hepworth died in a fire in the workshop. After the restoration was opened the Museum.
