Burkulay Victor Benevich was born in 1926 in Lugansk.
Graduated from Voroshilovgrad (now Lugansk) Art College. Worked in easel painting and graphics. Master of thematic paintings, landscapes and still lifes. Lived and worked in Lugansk. His works are kept in Lugansk Art Museum, private collections in Ukraine, Russia and Canada. Not a member of the Union of Artists of Ukraine.
He died in 2000.
