MOMus - Museum of Modernist Art - Kostaki Collection, Thessaloniki, Greece, presents the first foreign exhibition of works by Russian avant-garde artist Ivan Kliun -
"Ivan Kliun. Transcendental Landscapes. Flying sculptures. Light Spheres.".
The exhibition will tell about the creative path of the artist, who left his mark in all the innovative art movements of his time, including Neo-Impressionism, Symbolism, Cubo-Futurism and non-objective art.
Ivan Kliun was a member of the Supremus association of avant-garde artists created by Kazimir Malevich, but offered his own vision of Suprematism. In the early 1920s, he developed his own personal method, a theory of light and movement in space, which was embodied in spherical forms of non-figurative painting.
