Paul Cézanne. Influence

L'exposition 13 mars − 17 octobre 2021
The Boston Museum of Fine Arts holds an exhibition "Paul Cézanne. Influence.".

Bringing together works by the most influential artists of the 18th and 20th centuries, from Jean-Baptiste Simeon Chardin and Jean-Baptiste-Camille Corot to Pablo Picasso, Charles Schiller, Georges Braque and Henri Matisse, this exhibition places Cézanne's works at the center of the exhibition. The masterpieces of painting enter into a "dialogue" illustrating the amazing connection between artists through time.

For Paul Cézanne (1839-1906), creativity grew out of a confluence of observation of the world, trust in his own intuition, and study of the works of his predecessors. In turn, Cézanne's creative vision - and the paintings arising from it - prompted other artists to become followers of the author.
