Landscape painter, seascape painter.

Studied chemistry, worked in Feodosia (the Studio of I. Aivazovsky) and Odessa. Known for its sea and forest landscapes. Work was repeatedly reprinted in pre-revolutionary Russia, most often in the form of postcards.

Worked in Feodosia, probably in the Studio of I. K. Aivazovsky, and in Odessa. Known for its sea and forest landscapes. The work of G. Kapustina was repeatedly reproduced in pre-revolutionary printing, in particular, in open letters. The artist's paintings are in many private collections of Ukraine, Russia and quite often found at auction in the world.
