27.06.1925, Sevastopol — 1990, Moscow. Graphic artist, people's artist of the RSFSR (1984). Since 1988 Vice-President of the Academy of the USSR.
In the years 1947-1952 he studied at the Moscow polygraphic Institute in A. D. Goncharov. In the mid 1970-ies led the design dvuhsistemnaya the series "Library of world literature". From 1978 he taught at the Moscow polygraphic Institute.
Author of illustrations to the works of Akutagawa ryunosuke, A. Belyaev, M. Bulgakov, S. Pokrovsky.
